Steel Bar is a wide category that includes Square Bar, Round Bar, Rebar, Flat Bar and UM Bar.
Square bar has a square cross-section. Round bar has a circular cross-section. They can be used for a variety of purposes – including ladder rungs, mechanical shafts, and door handles.
Rebar (short for reinforcing bar) is a ribbed round bar used to reinforce concrete or masonry. The texture of the bar creates stronger adhesion between the steel and the material it supports.
Flat bar is a strip of plate that is between the widths of 1/2” and 9”. UM Bar is a strip of plate between the widths of 9” and 12”. These flats are used for general industrial fabrication and repair.
