Seth Colner
Flat Rolled Group Manager | Portland, OR
Years of experience:
Seth Colner joined Seaport Steel in 2022 and brings more than 25 years of steel industry experience. His background spans both flat rolled and structural steel products, giving him a unique perspective on the needs of manufacturers, fabricators, and service centers alike.
Areas of expertise:
Seth's expertise includes flat rolled products (HR, HRPO, CR, and coated), slitting and leveling, structural steel products, value-added processing, inventory management, supply chain solutions, and stainless and aluminum products.
Value to our customers:
Having worked extensively with contract manufacturers, laser processing operations, and structural steel fabricators, Seth helps customers identify practical solutions that improve efficiency, material utilization, and overall project success.
Personal Interest:
Outside of work, Seth enjoys fly fishing, golf, camping, racing, cooking, travel, baseball, theater, movies, music, and spending time outdoors.
Fun Fact:
Seth plays golf right-handed but plays all other sports left-handed, a result of growing up without access to left-handed golf clubs.
Justin Edwards
Outside Sales Representative | Oregon
Years of experience:
Justin Edwards joined Seaport Steel in 2026 and has been serving customers in the steel and metals industry since 2012. Over the course of his career, he has developed extensive knowledge of a wide range of metal products and applications, working closely with manufacturers, OEMs, and fabricators throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Areas of expertise:
Justin began his career specializing in hydraulic heat exchanger tubing, which provided valuable insight into the many alloys and metals available for specialized applications. He later expanded his experience by supplying bar, tube, and plate products to machine shops and OEMs. His expertise includes alloy selection, specialty and exotic metals, manufacturing applications, and supporting customers with material solutions tailored to their specific requirements. Justin also maintains strong connections within Oregon's manufacturing community.
Value to our customers:
Justin combines technical knowledge with a hands-on approach to help customers improve efficiency and reduce costs. His ability to read engineering drawings and program OMAX waterjet software allows him to identify potential manufacturing challenges, review part tolerances, and suggest process improvements early in the project cycle. Through close communication and attention to detail, he helps customers make informed decisions that save both time and money.

Outside of work, Justin enjoys camping, gardening, paddleboarding, kayaking, snowshoeing, homebrewing, traveling, hiking, foraging, and tackling a variety of DIY projects.

Justin's passion for metals extends beyond selling material. He particularly enjoys discussing specialty and exotic alloys and helping customers find the right material for unique and challenging applications.
Kathy Fiske
Years of experience:
Kathy brings extensive experience supporting customers throughout the steel procurement and project management process, with a strong focus on delivering efficient, value-driven solutions from project kickoff through completion.
Areas of expertise:
Fabrication, Technical Bridge Specifications, CVN Testing, Plate Processing, Project Management, Drawing Review, Procurement, Material Coordination, and Zone-Based Nesting.
Value to our customers:
My goal is to simplify procurement and help customers keep projects on schedule and within scope. By providing full-cycle project management support, I assist with procurement management, drawing review, sourcing hard-to-find items, zone-based nesting, material coordination, and end-to-end project oversight. I focus on managing the details that help reduce delays, improve efficiency, and make the procurement process easier for our customers.

Coaching my daughter's select softball team and spending time with my family.
Jordan Garrett
Inside Sales Representative | Portland, OR
Years of experience:
Jordan Garrett joined Seaport Steel in 2026 and brings valuable experience in manufacturing and supply chain management. His background has provided him with a strong understanding of inventory planning, material flow, and the operational needs of manufacturing customers.
Areas of expertise:
Jordan's expertise includes slit coil, manufacturing, inventory management, drawing review, and supply chain management.
Value to our customers:
With a foundation in supply chain management, Jordan works closely with customers to develop creative and practical solutions to inventory challenges. He focuses on understanding each customer's operational needs and helping them improve material availability, efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.
Personal Interests:
Outside of work, Jordan enjoys attending live music events, camping, and hiking throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Jordan is always looking for new trails and outdoor destinations to explore, whether it's a weekend camping trip or a day hike close to home.
Bryan Gott
Years of experience:
Career in the steel industry since 1998, steel sales since 2001. He joined Seaport in 2022.
Areas of expertise:
Bryan is well versed in all structural steel shapes. Shoring and piling is his primary area of expertise.

Bryan is a customer and job requirement focused sales associate; all jobs are important. If you have a question regarding steel availability and pricing, please reach out.
Personal Interests:
Bryan is a Veteran and father. He enjoys cooking, home improvement projects and tropical vacations.
Sean Henning
Years of experience:
Sean has worked in the industry for 29 years and joined the Seaport Steel team in June of ’23.
Areas of expertise:
Sean has vast experience on the structural side of our business and enjoys seeing a project all the way through (from start to finish).
Value to our customers:
Sean’s goal is to always be available to help. That may be with pricing, sourcing product, or simply taking a phone to call to help walk a client/partner through a specific industry related scenario.
Personal Interests:
Sean is a father of four and married to his wonderful wife, Bethany. All of whom enjoy traveling, soccer and game night(s)!
Matt Hernandez
Years of experience:
Matt Hernandez joined Seaport in 2006. He has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of Steel. Matt was promoted in 2016 to Seaport's Sales team Marine and Bridge Specialist.
Areas of expertise:
Well versed in marine and bridge projects.
Value to our customers:
My aim is to provide the highest quality of service to our customers and I’m responsive and dedicated to our customers' needs.
Personal Interests:
Golfing, playing softball, duck hunting, fishing with my son, and hanging out with family and friends.
Ross Johnson
Years of experience:
Ross joined Seaport Steel in 2015 and has worked in the industry since 1997. Ross worked as a drafter for three years prior to his career in Sales.
Areas of expertise:
Knowledge of all product areas, with an emphasis on plate processing. Experienced working with both manufacturer’s, as well as fabricators.

Dedicated to providing quality service to ensure customer’s success, while forging long term relationships.

Steve Longshore
Outside Sales Representative | Spokane, WA
Years of experience:
Steve Longshore joined Seaport Steel in 2025 and brings more than 35 years of steel industry experience. Since entering the industry in 1990, Steve has developed a comprehensive understanding of steel service center operations, sales, purchasing, processing, and leadership, giving him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing customers.
Areas of expertise:
Steve's expertise includes full steel service center operations, steel processing equipment, shop production management, retail and inside steel sales, purchasing across a wide range of metal markets, product flow management across multiple branches, and team leadership development. His background also includes serving as General Manager of a full-service steel company and completing leadership training at West Point, NY.

With decades of industry experience, Steve is dedicated to helping customers get the right material at the right time. His extensive knowledge of steel products, processing capabilities, and supply chain management allows him to identify practical solutions and quickly address challenges when they arise. Steve takes pride in building strong customer relationships and delivering the responsive service and problem-solving support that keep projects moving forward.
Personal Interests:
Outside of work, Steve enjoys traveling, boating, lake activities, RV camping, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is also passionate about snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, exploring off-road trails in his 4x4, and cheering on the Seattle Seahawks.

Having worked in nearly every aspect of the steel service center business, Steve brings a broad, hands-on perspective that allows him to understand customer needs from both operational and strategic viewpoints.
Sam Paulsen
Years of experience:
Sam joined Seaport Steel in 2019. He has been working in the steel industry since 2014, focusing on sales and business development.
Areas of expertise:
Sam has extensive knowledge of all product lines, but he specializes is structural steel, plate processing and shoring.
Value to our customers:
Sam’s focus on customer service has allowed him to build long term partnerships with customers and vendors. His communication skills and attention to detail make him an asset to any Project Engineer/Project Manager and allows him to focus on helping customers finish projects as fast as possible.
Personal Interests:
Sam enjoys most outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking, fishing, snowboarding, but primarily – GOLF.
Brad Potter

Brad Potter joined Seaport Steel in 2026 and brings more than three years of steel industry experience. He has worked with a variety of customers and projects, developing a strong understanding of structural steel products, fabrication, and project coordination.

Emily joined Seaport Steel in 2015 and has worked in the industry since 1992.

Fabrication, Manufacturing, Plate & Processes, Design & drawing reading and project management.

My Technical Skills in drafting and AutoCAD allow me to work strategically with customers. I’m able to review and provide recommendations to ensure success for each project.

Melodie Ulsh
Years of experience:
Joined Seaport in 2017 and started my career in the Steel Industry since 2003.
Areas of expertise:
Melodie has a background in structural steel, fabrication, and plate. She is continuously learning and is adding plate processing knowledge that Seaport offers.
Value to our customers:
Melodie strives to provide timely and accurate information to customers. She takes pride in establishing great customer relationships and treating each job with efficient and professional customer service. She focusses on asking questions and listening to the customer to gain more knowledge and provide the highest level of service.
Personal Interests:
Spending time with her family and dogs, Crossfit®, weight lifting, an avid cake decorator, and every year she goes somewhere she has never been before or try something she has never done before.
