Ryan Chase
Years of experience: Ryan’s career in the steel industry began 2011 at R&S Steel in Denver, Co and has worked with some of the biggest steel fabricators in the country over the last decade gaining a wealth of knowledge in the structural steel sector. While new to Seaport Steel as of 2021, he is no stranger to what it takes to get the job done in the steel business.
Areas of expertise: Ryan has extensive knowledge of structural steel products, including mill operations, warehouse operations, steel safety, logistics, pricing, lead time, coil leveling and plate processing.
Value to our customers: Ryan is customer and solution oriented and focused. If you have a question regarding steel, pricing, trucking, lead times, alternate products, processing or alternate ideas to designs, Ryan is your man!
Personal Interests: Ryan is an active sports fan of anything Denver sports related. Denver Bronco football is a religion in the Chase family and still brings our family and friends together every Sunday during football season. Being a Colorado native, hiking, snow boarding and anything outdoors keeps me and my family busy year around. We are also a dog loving family and have a French Bulldog puppy that will become the newest member of the family on May 28th.




Bryan Fine
Bryan Fine
Years of experience: Career in the metal and fabrication industry since 2015. He joined Seaport in 2021.
Areas of expertise: Bryan has extensive knowledge of workflow within a steel facility which includes: plate processing, pulling orders, loading and customer service.
Value to our customers: Bryan is customer focused. If you have a question regarding steel, pricing, or drawings he will provide you with an answer.
Personal Interests: Bryan is a Veteran and Father that enjoys Hiking and Camping.




Matt Hernandez
Matt Hernandez
Years of experience: Matt Hernandez joined Seaport in 2006. He has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of Steel. Matt was promoted in 2016 to Seaport's Sales team Marine and Bridge Specialist.
Areas of expertise: Well versed in marine and bridge projects.
Value to our customers: My aim is to provide the highest quality of service to our customers and I’m responsive and dedicated to our customers' needs.
Personal Interests: Golfing, playing softball, duck hunting, fishing with my son, and hanging out with family and friends.




Cindy Huard
Cindy Huard
Years of experience: Cindy joined Seaport Steel in 1997.
Areas of expertise: Project Sales and Inventory Management. Her specialty is Shipyard Sales. Knowledgeable in importing and exporting material.
Value to our customers: She creates partnerships with Seaport’s customers by consistently providing timely responsive service, with an emphasis on excellence.
Personal Interests: Reading, music, and travel.




Ross Johnson
Ross Johnson
Years of experience: Ross joined Seaport Steel in 2015 and has worked in the industry since 1997. Ross worked as a drafter for three years prior to his career in Sales.
Areas of expertise: Knowledge of all product areas, with an emphasis on plate processing. Experienced working with both manufacturer’s, as well as fabricators.
Value to our customers: Dedicated to providing quality service to ensure customer’s success, while forging long term relationships.
Personal Interests: Avid golfer and cyclist. Enjoy rooting for The University of Oregon Ducks in all sports.




Chip Kromer
Chip Kromer
Years of experience: Chip has worked in warehouse and distribution Sales since 1978. He joined Seaport Steel in 1984. He serves customers from the Canadian Border, to Northern Oregon.
Areas of expertise: Well-rounded background, helping customers in all facets of steel requirements, i.e. structural, manufacturing, machine shop, industrial and marine fabrication.
Value to our customers: Dedicated to providing dependable service, and attention to every detail in seeing that customers' requirements are met. Ensuring complete customer satisfaction with our products and services.
Personal Interests: Avid year-round Puget Sound/Canadian Gulf boater for over 35 five years.




Paul Ksenofontov
Paul Ksenofontov
Years of experience: Paul began his career in 2016 in the Metal distribution industry. He has a mastery in many metal products including stainless, aluminum, and carbon steel.
Areas of expertise: Paul has extensive knowledge in Carbon Steel sales including but not limited to tubing, plate/sheet, pipe, and wide flange.
Value to our customers: Paul’s desire to never say “no” and to find creative solutions to difficult problems allows him to provide the best level of service possible.
Personal Interests: Paul enjoys spending time with his friends and family, skiing, and long-distance backpacking.




Shawn Lawrence
Shawn Lawrence
Years of experience: Shawn joined Seaport Steel in 2018 and brings over 23 years of experience in the Steel Service Center Industry. He started in 1995 as a Delivery Driver and transitioned to Warehousing where he became proficient in material handling and all forms of processing Steel before moving into Sales in 1997.
Areas of expertise: Shawn has extensive knowledge of the Steel Service Center Industry including products and services offered by Seaport Steel. Processing plate is his specialty and moving structural tons for fun are second nature.
Value to our customers: Shawn has a strong customer following as a result of his intense desire to match customer needs with his company’s capabilities and is known for building strong relationships through a strong work ethic and good old fashioned customer service.
Personal Interests: Shawn is passionate about faith, family, fitness, and community. He is married and has two children. Since 2009 he has been an avid practitioner and competitor in the Martial Art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.




Vince Nodine
Vince Nodine
Years of experience: Over 2 decades in the steel industry, beginning in 1999. Vince joined Seaport in 2019.
Areas of expertise: Vince has firsthand experience in laser, plasma, and flame cutting machinery, as well as CAD/CAM. He has also worked side by side with countless fabricators, welders, and specialty vendors, so no stone goes unturned when reviewing projects, regardless of complexity. He has been recognized as an instructor to many next-gen professionals, in the areas of laser operation, CAD software, and blueprint interpretation. How you provide value to your customers: Vince has a sharp eye for detail, recognizing potential issues before production even begins. He understands how things are made, and the steps necessary to get there. With the glance of a print, he can help you decide on the best direction for your project, and how to proceed efficiently without cutting corners.
Personal Interests: When he is not enjoying his off time with his wife and daughter, he is practicing martial arts. Having studied various arts over the past 17 years, he has been fortunate to learn a variety of arts from Shaolin Kung Fu, Jeet Kun Do, western boxing, and many others.




Sam Paulsen
Sam Paulsen
Years of experience: Sam joined Seaport Steel in 2019. He has been working in the steel industry since 2014, focusing on sales and business development.
Areas of expertise: Sam has extensive knowledge of all product lines, but he specializes is structural steel, plate processing and shoring.
Value to our customers: Sam’s focus on customer service has allowed him to build long term partnerships with customers and vendors. His communication skills and attention to detail make him an asset to any Project Engineer/Project Manager and allows him to focus on helping customers finish projects as fast as possible.
Personal Interests: Sam enjoys most outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking, fishing, snowboarding, but primarily – GOLF.

Years of experience: 7 years experience in the steel industry specializing in tubing and pipe distribution.
Areas of expertise: Tubing, pipe, wide flange, business development, and purchasing.
Value to our customers: I enjoy problem solving and helping customers source difficult to find materials.
Personal Interests: Spending time with my wife and dogs, home improvement, hiking and traveling.

Emily Tracey
Years of experience: Emily joined Seaport Steel in 2015 and has worked in the industry since 1992.
Areas of expertise: Fabrication, Manufacturing, Plate & Processes, Design & drawing reading and project management.
Value to our customers: My Technical Skills in drafting and AutoCAD allow me to work strategically with customers. I’m able to review and provide recommendations to ensure success for each project.
Personal Interests: Camping and hiking. University of Oregon graduate.

Years of experience: Joined Seaport in 2017 and started my career in the Steel Industry since 2003.
Areas of expertise: Melodie has a background in structural steel, fabrication, and plate. She is continuously learning and is adding plate processing knowledge that Seaport offers.
Value to our customers: Melodie strives to provide timely and accurate information to customers. She takes pride in establishing great customer relationships and treating each job with efficient and professional customer service. She focusses on asking questions and listening to the customer to gain more knowledge and provide the highest level of service.
Personal Interests: Spending time with her family and dogs, Crossfit®, weight lifting, an avid cake decorator, and every year she goes somewhere she has never been before or try something she has never done before.




Joseph Vallejo
Joseph Vallejo
Years of experience: Joseph joined Seaport Steel in 2019. He has extensive knowledge of steel and has worked in the industry since 2013.
Areas of expertise: Steel sales to manufacturers, fab shops, and mid-level service centers, including: special packaging needs, inventory management, and stocking programs.
Value to our customers: I never want any of our customers to feel like they have to tackle a problem alone. I love rolling up my sleeves and getting right in the weeds with them.
Personal Interests: I love to read, especially classic literature. I also collect vintage toys and do some music engineering in my spare time.




Justin Walker
Justin Walker
Years of experience: Over 10 yrs. in the Marine Industry ranging from Fitting/Fabrication and welding to Materials Management and Production Management. Joined the Seaport Sales Team as the Marine Specialist in 2018.
Areas of expertise: Reading drawings and all aspects of Marine Fabrication - Aluminum and Steel.
Value to our customers: My background in the Marine industry and production management gives me the expertise to not only to assist our customers with their material needs but the project as a whole. I strive to help our customers with anything I can with a goal for their success above all else.
Personal Interests: Golfing, Hunting and Fishing. Also love spending time with family and friends. Go Hawks!!!
